Hmmm December 1st?

Ok, i know Movember ended yesterday but I couldn't help myself, I had to do just one more post.....we've done what we set out to do so firstly a big thanks to Miss Tina for her efforts, and also to Miss Hannah who has provided endless behind the scenes support. (I think at one point I gave her the title of campaign manager:) Thanks of course to Mr D for growing the mo for the last 3 years and inspiring us to do this. The money we have raised has been brilliant, but i also just wanted to remind everyone that the other reason we do this is to raise awareness of men's health issues including depression. So whilst the month is over i would encourage us all to remember what some of our Mo men are dealing with. Day 30...this is it!!!

( Note, for those of you curious about my wardrobe...here it is lol)

I am quiet in awe of the brilliant donations we have received, i think at the moment we,ll get a few hundred, not bad for one guy with a mo and two gals with some dresses. It's been a wild roller coaster of a month, there have been days when i have been thoroughly over having to photograph myself but mostly it's just been a great experience, really i feel like I've enjoyed it was too much. Yesterday was a busy day for me, after the excitement of the party i got up earlish to re caffinate and source the market for one more special dress. well of course i had a great morning and bought 4 lovely dresses, hence the 3 dress day. One black sweater dress that i left the house in, assuming since it was raining it would be cold, one denim pinny that i wore for work in the afternoon with a black t, and my stylish purple one that was worn to my after dinner drink with Miss Hannah. I think Miss Tina may have had a much more relaxing day :)

Day 28.....a Gal's work is never done....

So today i'm off to work after my lovely day of pampering. It's starting to get exciting cause the gala parte is on tonight, but i'm also feeling a bit sad cause there's so little time left. What started as a funny little idea i had has blossomed into a lot of fun, raised a lot of money and caused much more excitment than i thought. I've met a coulpe of lovely guys today who have great Mo's, one of whom also shaved his head for the cause. Day 27.....a day of pampering and shopping

Today the two Ms fashionistas had lovely morning together, drinking coffee and shopping. I bought a fabulous frock to wear to the Movember Gala parte.....Miss T bought a tshirt to wear in December and a pair of incredible red wedges. Hope she wears them soon. Tina is getting sooo excited about Dec 1st........though she did say she feels as thou she gets ntreated a little bit differently by people when wearing a dress.

I was very excited cause I've wanted a cherry print dress for ages and managed to find one for $9.....

Day 26....reducing stress

Today i spent the day reducing stress, or learining how to. It was a thundry stormy day in melbourne so it was quiet a relief to spend some time meditating and learining about being positive.

Day 25...so many boots!

OMG you guys rock.... we're getting v close and it's amazing!!! i just checked out page and we're up to $320... i have another $60 cash donations so we may well make $500!!! i'm so thrilled, i started this just as a support to jus and all the other guys but i feel like we are making a difference. sorry may get a bit emotional watch out lol. I'm getting a bit tierd of looking at myself...and clearly need my hair done again, but oh well its for a good cause. Day 24....mystery of the blue dresses

Our opening statement today from Miss Tina" I know there will be people who claim I wore this dress on Day 1, but it is actually a different, albeit very similar-looking, dress. It was a gift from Miss J." and actually i have also worn a similar dress so i promise you all there are 3. Luckily for me i managed to snaffle a pretty dress at kmart last nite for a bargain price!! So i wore it today with my fave flat boots. I love the look of a girly dress with bucked boots:) So only 6 days left....and here is Miss t today...how glam is she always. she's added the black belt, nice.

Day 23.....another donation!!!

Yay we have just received another donation! Clearly people are excited about the Movember cause. Also we only officially have 1 week left guys. it's countdown time. today i wore one of my fave black dresses and thou i look tired in this photo, i think it looked great. i must start taking photos in the morning when I'm lovely and bubbly. Day 22 ....a day of culture.....

Today was a lovely day full of beautiful msic in tina;'s case and good friends, cheese and wine in mine. so clealry we are becoming very elegant and cultured. it was another rainy day in melbourne so i went with the pinafore look, red shirt, grey dress and boots. tina has the fab geometrics dress going on. darker days/ i choose the classic black wrap dress to begging with for housework and chores then switched to this one for family dinner out. Ok guys so here we are on day 19, another day of two dresses for me as i had alex's yr 12 graduation today. so a sunny yellow day dress then a lovely black number later. Clearly we both need some new props as we are again surrounded by books. i am wanting to borrow the dress tina has on today, it's so purty!

we're going well although both getting concerned about the dresses we have left, do the mofashionistas need more shopping at the market this weekend? we think so:)

Day 18...a bright dress and a white dress

From tina:Today I found my brightest and most comfortable dress to wear. One of my favorite library users was very taken with it. I also received a pledge from my friend Sean to donate $1 a day to the cause. Thanks Sean! Back to work.After the chillaxed vibe of the weekend, it was very hard to amp myself up for work. I tried for the powerdress look with a charcoal grey esprit shift dress and red accessories. I was mighty uncomfortable, the dress was too tight and I felt weird on heels after wearing thongs for days... Day 14,15,16 -Heavenly Portsea.I have to say the dress wearing business makes sense at the beach in warm weather. I live in sarong/wrap dresses and 'kinis.Except for Saturday I did have to get dolled up for my brother wedding. The reception was at Pt Nepean National Park drinks by the ocean, followed by dinner and dancing in the revamped mess hall. Very civilised. Day 15 Florals

Day 15 and YAY YAY YAY we're half way through!! It's starting to get a bit hard, even for me the original dress gal. I found myself lusting after t-shirts today while i was out shopping and i have found a lovely snuggly pair of jeans to wear in December. Day 14 Black dresses a go go

Day 14 was another day of two dresses, this time both black. dress one was a lovely black linen tunic as pictured. I went to work in this and slipped into a slinky black number for cocktails later. Day 13...friday 13th

Today was a very busy day for Mofashionista's......

I went to work, a concert and dancing afterwards. this photo is quiet dark unfortunately cause i am wearing a red silk Chinese dress and sitting in a red velvet room. Very pretty, except photo is way too dark. it was 36 degrees in melb when this photo was taken and our weird little heat wave is continuing. However we're not letting anything get in our way as we cruise on towards halfway thru the month. im getting a little worried cause i seem to be wearing all of my fave dresses earlyish so may end the month being a bit dowdy. However in exciting news we may have a special new girl in a dress on saturday so look out for that :)

Day 10 making lemonade from lemons

Day 10, OMG a third of the way thru!!! we're very excited here @ mofashinista. Also we have finally been allowed to take a pic of Mr Ginger's Mo' yay!

Day 10 was a day when we decided to make the best of what we had. Miss t was at home all day so she channelled her inner domestic goddess :0 I had a long day at work and mentioned my blog about

As you can see it was all a bit too much so when i got home i had a g&t on the deck...

Day 9 in which Miss Tina has a very bad day & Miss j's is not much better

Day 9 and we're still going strong but little did we know it was going to try out patience, I was unfortunately sick (hence the double posting today) so put on one of my fave comfy dresses from Dangerfield...yes i paid full price for this one which was very rare. So although i had a very subdued day the dress still looked fab.

Miss Tina had her hands full with a sick little boy, and had someone crash into her car while it was parked, smashing the door in so she had to climb in thru the passenger seat IN A DRESS!! as she told me. A continuing valiant effort on her behalf. I want to know what her secret is.....

Day 8....1 day 3 dresses, is this getting out of control ;O

Lots happened today as you can see from the title. This morning was full of chores, shopping etc so clearly not a pretty dress time. Then off to vintage clothes market @ Boroondara so pretty dress time. The weather is sooo hot in Melb today that we were melting by 4pm which made a third dress fait accompli. Luckily for me i had purchased 3 very cheap dresses at the market. I'm thinking this may take more dresses than i realised. Special guest in today's photo is my lovely son Alex who is also doing the Movember thing. Miss Tina looks very relaxed, and gorgeous mabye she has the right idea in the heat.

Day 7 The dress of many colours

Today i finally embraced the idea of color in a big way. day 7's dress is a vivid silk colour explosion. it helped that i spent the day in the company of lovely friends at a market in Rose St Fitzroy...lovely colors, and a gorgeous sunny day before heading down to the beach for ice cream and playing in the water.

day 6, it's not easy being green.....meets the black maxi

hot on the heels of day fives post I'm doing day 6 so i don't get distraced !!! This outfit is clearly one of my best colorwise for the wow factor and miss t has gone to the other extreme with a fab black & white maxi dress, Special guest appearance by Mr J.d ginger and also my fab green boots and apologies for my sleepiness it was v early :) I have continued my mini theme and taken this one in my local cafe where i stop off most mornings, Mark makes just about the best coffee in Melb.
